Tar-A-Way was formed in September 2000 by Ian Venter, as a result of a life long dream and passion for construction.

Years of experience in the construction and production industry enables Ian to uphold the company’s quality control that forms part of his responsibilities.

Our head office is situated at 5 Barewood Close, Blackheath Industria, Cape Town.

A core management team manages all Tar-A-Way staff. Our head office personnel are responsible for all office administration as well as project and event managers, site agents and quotation officials.

Our company accommodates clients in the need of civil related services that are in the industrial, commercial and retail industry as well as the private sector. We take pride in the fact that all materials utilized are SABS approved.

It is of the utmost importance to us that we execute all work with the best quality materials available, therefore guaranteeing the quality expectations of our clients. Skills and Development Training

We believe in social upliftment and therefore our company concentrates on employing non skilled people which we can teach to improve their education and general knowledge so as to increase the individual’s earning power. We can proudly say that we have educated individuals to site agents, foremen as well as operators of various machinery. Our women employees currently have positions as administrative clerks, personal assistants and marketing personnel.

As of August 2013 we have participated in a programme from Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) called the Experiential Learning Programme whereas we employ students in their second year of civil studies to give them the opportunity to gain working experience in their chosen field of studies.
